Absolutely. In business your mind-set is everything. If you’re in sales and need to talk to people to close the deal, but find yourself avoiding picking up the phone or visiting people to make appointments…you may be dealing with “call reluctance.” Call reluctance isn’t uncommon in the sales world.

Let’s face it, it’s not always easy to cold call people and try to explain to them how and why they need your product or service. For some, it’s one of the scariest things ever. No one wants to feel rejected or like we’re bothering someone. Yet, sales positions are the most lucrative positions out there and you really don’t require a college degree to do it and be successful.

All fear is in our head. It really doesn’t matter what others think of you when you’re in a sales situation. So, how can hypnosis help you get out there and do those so uncomfortable cold calls?

Well, first, you have to get clear on why you’re doing sales. Do you have a vision of the lifestyle you want for yourself? Do you truly believe in the product or service you’re selling?

Belief is extremely important if you want to be disciplined enough to be successful and close the sale.

Every success guru on the planet will tell you to write down your goals and I couldn’t agree more. You can’t get to where you want to go if you don’t have a map. Also, when you write your goals down, it activates your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind will create situations for you to achieve your goals.

Let’s take it a little further though, because sometimes when you write your goals down, you still may feel stuck from moving forward on those activities necessary to accomplish. Why is that?

The subconscious mind has a primary directive to keep you safe from danger. It’s in the subconscious mind, we store all of our past experiences and emotions attached to them. If cold calling and the inevitable rejection that comes with it is too painful, the subconscious mind will stop you from doing it. The fight or flight reaction will kick in and no matter how badly you want something….you will sabotage yourself, or stop completely.

Use Hypnosis to Create an Empowering New Emotion

The language of the subconscious is your imagination. So sit quietly, in a relaxed state, breathe deeply and as you exhale, release any tightness or tension in your body. Quiet your conscious mind ego chatter.

Bring your financial goals into your awareness and imagine yourself as if you’ve already achieved the desired outcome. See yourself in your new home, or driving that new car, imagine your bank balance where you want it to be. Now, think of a time where you felt really happy, when you accomplished something you set out to do and felt pretty good about yourself! Make those good feelings strong inside of you. Now bring your awareness back to your goal and imagine yourself making phone calls and cold calls, while smiling and feeling great.

Your subconscious mind will start responding positively as you imagine yourself having fun, being happy and successful while you go through the motions which will get you to the end result!
