What is Hypnosis? How Can Hypnosis Help You Create the Life You've Always Desired? Let's explore...


Hypnosis is often misunderstood. There are many myths and misconceptions regarding "hypnosis." For some even the word "Hypnosis," strikes fear and uncertainty.

Even the definition of "Hypnosis" is weird. Check this out:

"The induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction. Its use in therapy, typically to recover suppressed memories or to allow modification of behavior by suggestion, has been revived but is still controversial."

The movie industry does not help with it's portrayal of scary hypnotists casting their dark magic and controlling how people behave and what they experience. In some old films, the idea of hypnosis was used as the tool to make an innocent person murder someone they didn't know and even rob a bank.


That's crazy and completely false. If I could control everyone, why wouldn't I rob a bank myself? LOL!


Hollywood has used hypnosis to sensationalize their plot and storyline for decades and that's okay, however, it perpetuates an idea that is completely off the charts untrue. Unfortunately, it may keep people from using this valuable tool to create a successful, healthy life that is inherently already theirs.

The Mayo Clinic's version is much closer to accurate, but it still doesn't tell the whole tale.


So what is the truth? While guiding subjects into the relaxed state of hypnosis, scientists have been able to measure the changes in the brain that takes place all day long. Hypnosis is a brain wave you experience several times a day. Everything is hypnosis. From the word gnosis, which means "to Know," hypnosis is a fantastic label for your own experience of reality...


We glide in and out of several different brain waves as follows:


  • Beta, related to your conscious, wide-awake mind. This brainwave moves very fast because you're thinking about 65,000 thoughts each day. Whew!


  • Alpha, more relaxed, slower waves, that allow you to have a focused thought or imaginings. Alpha brain wave is the beginning stage of hypnosis and the gateway to your subconscious mind.

  • Theta, a much slower brain wave, is a deeper level of "hypnosis." During Theta, your conscious mind starts to fade away and you are entering the realm of the subconscious and may easily jump off into superconscious awareness.

  • Delta brain wave is deep sleep, so technically not "hypnosis."


  • Gamma: Scientists have now discovered another brain wave they call Gamma, which occurs when you have an awakened, spiritual experience.

How can "Hypnosis" be used to help you?
